bring on the herb porn, bring on the...cat?
To answer an earlier question, "Yes, it's here!" But I had somehow missed the memory card I needed so it sat for several days...sad...dejected...without purpose... The camera didn't have much to do either. :-(
Well, that was then, this is now...
But what to take pictures of? I just got home and am too tired to cook so tonight will have to go by without food porn; my kitchen is thrashed, so no pictures there; and the elk that have been grazing across the road all week were, of course, nowhere to be seen. Desperately reaching for a visual food thing that wouldn't require an hour of heavy cleaning beforehand, I stepped outside...into my herb garden!
While nothing at all like my earlier herb garden, my tiny flower beds have been cleared of weeds and planted with some new purchases (english and lemon thyme; purple, tri-color, golden, and tangerine sage; regular and onion chives; lovage; and a few other things that slip my mind at the moment. None of which are what I took photos of. I have three herb plants that I brought with me:
Lavender
Rosemary
A sweet bay tree. You can see lots of the new herbs spread around the tree: garden sage, golden sage, oregano, lovage, chives, onions, an edge of the big rosemary. creeping thyme, rosemary, a habenero pepper, and a single flower of sweet woodruff. Not too bad for a tiny corner, huh?
...and the cat, who just got back from having a huge tumor removed from his leg. He may be traumatized, but he's still beautiful.
